INTRODUCTION TO PLAB 2

With the successful result of your PLAB 1 exam, you are eligible to write this exam. This exam is an assessment of your clinical skills and customer service.

It is currently taken in Manchester, UK. There are 18 stations you will go through with each one lasting 8 minutes. The exam assesses 3 main domains;

  1. Data gathering, technical and assessment skills
  2. Management skills
  3. Inter-personal skills

These 3 domains is one of the determinants of what your score would be like. 4 marks are attached to each domain making it a total of 12 marks for each station.

If you find it hard being patient or nice to people, you would have issues with this exam.

In all, be as professional and composed as possible. It is not about your medical knowledge but your relation with patients.
